slowly...

...my little boutique paperie is coming together. Sourcing the packaging, designing and creating... more time consuming than I had anticipated (together with other unforeseen 'hiccups') but oh so rewarding. I want it all to be 'just so' before I share it...soon I promise.

Nature does not hurry,
yet everything is accomplished.

bursting...

with the promise of spring goodness. My garden is just coming alive with the joys that spring brings. My pretty little wisteria is flowering this year...such a gorgeous shade of lilac - these buds are now in full bloom. And I'm so excited my grape vine has the beginnings of tiny grape clusters...can you see them? It was planted as a cutting last year and is already across my pergola. I'm hoping these two beauties collide giving colour in spring, shade in summer, and dappled sunlight whilst it's bare in winter. I'm constantly in awe of nature and the absolute loveliness the change of seasons brings.

surprise!

The decorations were up late yesterday afternoon, the guests arrived early evening and then...surprise! Dear family and friends came together to celebrate a milestone birthday for my gorgeous Dad...and what fun we had! Happy, Happy Birthday Dad!

wrapped with love

A belated birthday gift for a very dear friend who has had some sad times of late. Gorgeous stripes against the glossy white and a sprig of lavender from my garden complete my gift - a sweet little vase in which a single bud can hopefully bring some sunshine and smiles.

down that winding road...

I came across the most gorgeous spring blossoms...so pink against the blue of the sky. Mother Nature matches colours just so doesn't she?

For more of those delectable treats we indulged in yesterday pop by here...

tea and niceties

An enchanting tearoom with the most delectable treats one could ever imagine. Each and every morsel simply melting in my mouth and sending my taste buds into raptures. Beautiful bone china tea sets, shiny silverware and oh the treats...did I mention the treats??! Hidden in the Gold Coast Hinterland, up the winding road and set amongst the trees...you'll find Tea and Niceties. A most delightful way to spend the morning with my dear friends.

all in the details...

So perfectly miniature...the front, the back and inside all the way down to the tools! Isn't my lovely Dad just so very clever? This is his work in progress...a tiny (to scale!) building for his model railway...so many hours of dedication has gone into this. Much like the hours of time, encouragement, nurturing, love and support he has given us over the years. What a wonderful day we spent together yesterday celebrating all that and more for Father's Day.

spring tulips

Spring is here...and what a lovely day it's been. These tulips are the most divine colour and perfect for welcoming this gorgeous season in, no?
