My vegetable patch is sprouting (with the guidance of my lovely Dad)!  It seems the love and attention has paid off and soon I'll be planning my meals around what vegetables I can harvest.  Isn't that the best way to dine?

reminiscing

Sweet Amanda from Small Acorns invited me to reminisce about the sixth photo I ever posted.  And here it is...one of my designs!  It's quite a little favourite of mine thought up some years ago now.  There's something about cupcakes and high tea don't you think?

For many reasons the launch of my little paperie hasn't yet come to fruition.  That's not to say there hasn't been some 'behind the scenes' progress...just a few circumstances that have complicated things!  The days ahead are looking clear and bright so here's hoping I have the courage to share my little dream with you all sooner rather than later.

Today...as the rain came down, these gumnut blossoms made me smile.  They look like fireworks don't you think?

Today...as the rain came down, I watched the beginnings of the seedlings in my vegetable patch push their way through the soil.  I can hardly wait for my first harvest!

Today...I will donate to this cause, because I admire this lovely lady's work and the spirit and determination she shows in raising her beautiful son despite the challenges they face.  Please consider showing your support if you're able.

a new neighbour

My Dad has a new neighbour...isn't he beautiful?  I popped down to say hello this morning - he seemed a little more interested in the grass than me, but he did afford me a few moments of his time for a stroke and nuzzle!  He reminds me of some horse riding lessons I took as a child...some of them cantering along the pristine and untouched beaches in Brunei.  Bliss!

I gingerly started a little journey on this day last year…it’s quite the adventure!  What a wonderful world there is to explore within this amazing community…so many, many inspirational, talented and kindred spirits both near and far. Each day, a joy to sneak a peek into the lives and dreams of others, to watch endeavours unfold, milestones achieved and most importantly of all, the reminder that it is the little moments in life, captured and remembered that are most treasured of all.  And, after all, it is the journey rather than the destination that is important.

To those that have stopped by...thank you!  I hope your visits have brought a ray of sunshine to your days.
