spring-time joy

This gorgeous guy, enjoying the sun amongst the blossom, brought a little drawing I'd created in my head instantly to life.  Now to capture that mental picture and this sweet moment of spring-time joy and doodle away with pencil and paper...I'll be sure to share what transpires!

and dancing too!  With spring in the air and and the flowers in full bloom, the rain is perfect for a little 'sparkle' on pretty little petals don't you think?

It's amazing how little things evoke such strong memories...a fragrance, a flower, a special place.  Lavender will always remind me of my darling mother - I miss her every day.

Resistance is futile...

home sewn

I've long admired this book...it is so beautifully presented and comes complete with patterns.  Now I have a copy of my very own.  And, I've bought a sewing machine - very basic, but that's all I require for I am but a beginner (at the very earliest of stages)!  I admire, and am greatly inspired by Christie - what gorgeous, gorgeous pieces she creates and makes.  I think these lovely throw pillows might be my first serious attempt at sewing...what do you think?  What makes this book is the beautiful fabrics...I'll be looking out for similar linens and prints as they really are so pretty.

comforting glow

I stepped outside this balmy spring evening and caught a glimpse of my creative place all aglow.  Soon the jasmin at the window will bloom and the gorgeous scent will fill the room.  I do so love this little place - it wraps it's warmth around me and takes my imagination to far off places...it lets me dream, believe, create.
